Archives

Everyone has a history and did you know, we’ve got a bit of yours!

OnFife Archives looks after documents covering an incredible 500 years of Fife’s history – and that’s a lot of documents.

Our job is to preserve the records and help you to use them. This can be either be done online, at a library with an archives section or our Archive Search room at OnFife Collections Centre, Bankhead.

We have a large variety of resources for you to explore, including:

  • Electoral Registers
  • Fife and Kinross District Asylum records
  • Police records
  • Poor Relief (1845-1930)
  • School Records (after 1872)
  • Valuation Rolls
