Libby for Amazon Fire Tablets

If you have an Amazon Fire tablet and would like to take advantage of our cracking eBook and eAudiobook offer, the Libby app is now available to download from the Amazon Appstore. All you need to get started is your OnFife library card and your tablet and you’ll have thousands of available titles at your fingertips.

If you don’t already have a library card, you can register here and if you’ve forgotten your PIN number, you can reset it using this link.

If you’ve been using the OverDrive app up until now on your Fire tablet, a wee heads up that it will be removed from the Amazon Appstore on June 7th 2023.  Current users of OverDrive can continue to use it for now, but no new features will be added so we encourage you to make the switch and upgrade to the Libby app.

Just an additional reminder that it’s not possible to download from Libby to a Kindle eBook reader in the UK

Hot Off the PressReader!

We have now switched from Libby to PressReader for our magazine and newspaper provision. It’s something many of our customers have asked for and we’re delighted to be able to provide this fab new service to Fife.  You’ll have an extensive range of UK and worldwide newspapers to choose from as well as an incredible range of digital magazines.

You can either download the PressReader app and you’ll be able to create an account to login, browse and borrow using your OnFife library card number and PIN, or, you can visit the PressReader website and create an account from there using your library card and PIN.  Simply select Fife Cultural Trust from the drop-down list of libraries, input the card details and you’ll be all set.  You can reset your PIN from our library catalogue by heading to our online library catalogue here.

You’ll have more than 7,000 newspapers and magazines from more than 100 countries in 60+ languages to choose from, so we think it’ll be a while until you’re bored!
