Scottish Coworking Hub at DCL&G

Dunfermline Carnegie Library and Galleries is part of a network of coworking hubs within Scotland’s public libraries. The network offers dedicated space for start-ups and small businesses.

The hub at DCLG, in the heart of Dunfermline’s Heritage Quarter, provides well-equipped facilities, events and enterprise support – everything you need to grow your own business.  The hubs are available to use on a membership basis from as little as £35 a month for unlimited use, which provides access to all hubs across the Scottish Coworking Network.

Dunfermline Carnegie Library & Galleries

The Scottish Coworking Network Hub in Dunfermline has 14 fixed desks and 5 hot desks to choose from. The space also offers breakout area equipped with comfy sofas, coffee table, and a magnetic whiteboard so you can relax and unwind or chat and collaborate with other hub members. The refreshment area is well equipped with catering facilities while Heaven Scent Cafe is also located on site offering a delicious selection of homemade cakes, scones, light snacks such as soup and sandwiches, barista coffee and tea. We do not currently offer printing within the space itself, however, members are free to use nearby library printing facilities.

When you sign up for hot desk or fixed desk membership, you become a member of the Scottish Coworking Network, giving you have free access to desk space at our other hub locations throughout Scotland’s public libraries.

Dunfermline Carnegie Library and Galleries boasts four impressive meeting rooms suitable for anywhere from 2 to 120 people, which Scottish Coworking Network members can access at a reduced rate. Exclusive business workshops, seminars, and networking events will be held within these rooms throughout the year – available free of charge to all members.

What is the Scottish Coworking Network?

The Scottish Coworking Network is a network of business hubs within Scotland’s public libraries. It offers dedicated space for start-ups, small businesses and freelancers.

The hubs provide well-equipped facilities including desks, meeting space and breakout areas as well as online resources and wifi – everything you need to start and grow your own business.

Aimed at local entrepreneurs, sole traders, start-ups and micro businesses, you can access valuable enterprise advice and support at participating libraries. In addition, an online forum offers the opportunity to network and collaborate with like-minded people. There is also a host of business events, including workshops, designed to help you reach your full potential.

The hubs are available to use on a membership basis from as little as £35 a month (+VAT) for unlimited hotdesking and £50 a month (+ VAT) for a fixed desk space. Included in this membership is free access to all the hubs across the Scottish Coworking Network.
