A New Vision for ONFife Libraries
Fife Cultural Trust will launch its ‘New Vision for ONFife Libraries’ public survey on Monday, 4th September. We want to know what we can change to ensure that the public library service remains important in people’s lives.
Fife’s library service has gone through a period of significant change in recent years, although it remains one of the biggest networks in Scotland with 37 libraries. These libraries come in all shapes and sizes but we pride ourselves on delivering the same welcome in every one of them. We value our readers, our computer users, our reading group members and our Bookbug babies. We appreciate that you want the bestselling books, the up-to-date software, a quiet space to work and exciting events to attend.
We want you, dear user, to tell us what you think we could be doing differently and what’s most important to you about what we do now. We want to understand what keeps you and your family coming to the library, or which changes would persuade you to come back. Are you interested in Code Clubs or learning a new skill? Do you need quiet study space or want to see live music events in your local library? Is it all about the kids or do you want time for yourself?
We have commissioned an independent research company, Jump Research, to administer the survey and analyse results. They work in accordance with the Market Research Society Code of Conduct and Data Protection regulations, meaning all information provided by you will be treated in confidence and used only in relation to this survey.
You can complete our survey online below or pick up a paper copy at your local ONFife library, museum or theatre.
The closing date is Sunday 29th October. Everyone who completes the survey and gives us their contact details will be entered into a prize draw to win £150 of Love2Shop vouchers which can be used in most High Street stores. We very much value the input of our users in helping redefine what a library service can be in the 21st century.
