Write ON – Showcasing Fife’s Writing Talent
There is a wealth of creativity in Fife and we would like to give the opportunity to local writers to showcase their work online. This year, Book Week Scotland's them is Nourish. This can be interpreted in many different ways, from food and drink to nourishing the soul.
We are asking for short stories of no more than 500 words, or poems, which link to the theme of Nourish to be submitted for inclusion in our creative writing showcase. This could be a story which is based on an activity you enjoy and nourishes your soul, or a poem about how delicious freshly baked bread is and provides nourishment in many ways. In turn your work will nourish readers' lives in its own unique, personal way.
A selection of entries will be chosen bi-monthly by members of the adult and junior Service Development teams for inclusion into the Write ON e-zine.
Submissions are divided into two categories - 11-15yrs old and those aged 16 yrs and over. Entries must be submitted electronically and must state entrants names and age if under 16 yrs of age.
All entries must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe the rights of any other party. Fife Cultural Trust accept no liability if entrants ignore these rules and entrants agree to fully indemnify Fife Cultural Trust against any claims by any third party arising from any breach of these rules.
Entries must not contain defamatory, obscene, offensive or any other unsuitable material nor contain anything else which is calculated to bring the Organisers into disrepute.
Entrants retain the copyright for their entries but grant Fife Cultural Trust a non-exclusive license to use their entry for publication on the Fife Cultural Trust website as well as for any promotional purpose.
Entries will only be accepted electronically and should be e-mailed to WriteON@onfife.com. Please state your name and age if under 16 when submitting your entry.
